The Vertical Pressure Leaf filter consists of cylindrical vertical shell. To ensure a good cake drop during cake discharge the bottom of the filter is conical. The top lid cover is closed with swing bolts and hexagonal nuts. Hydraulic hand pump / special mechanical jack are installed for cover lifting as and when required. Electro pneumatic butterfly valve is provided for quick opening & closing of bottom to discharge dried cake.

 

The pressure leaf filter consists of central outlet manifold and filter elements are mounted on the replacement type manifold with 75mm (C/C) spacing for better cleaning cycle.

 

The filter elements consists of 5 layers of Filter mesh with bottom drain nozzles being mounted on central outlet manifold & clamped with common shaft on top for clamping of filter leaves, which is further extended for mounting of pneumatic vibrator assembly.

 

Once the filtration cycle is completed the residual cake below the filter elements will be drained through the drain nozzles & filtered cake is dried with steam / air. Dry Cake discharged through the hopper by opening bottom butterfly valve & operating Pneumatic Vibrator Cylinder. Dried Cake can be collected in the hopper at the bottom. In case of wet discharge a fixed type or oscillating type header is provided on top of the filter leaves assembly.

 

Applications: Vegetable edible oil, sweetener , beverages , speciality chemicals, pharmaceutical , water , API , Plasticizers and others.
